Prof Squared is a three-part series of workshops held every semester under a common theme. These workshops are designed to provide graduate students across the College with opportunities to develop important professional skills for both careers within the (Prof)essoriate and in the broader (Prof)essional world.

The Fall 2017 theme is Grant Writing and Development and workshops will be held from 3:30-5:30 at The Commons at Spooner Hall on September 21, October 26, and December 7. Please visit the Calendar for more information and to register to attend.

ASCEND is a ten-part career development program modeled after NIH BEST.  ASCEND offers graduate students and postdoctoral trainees in the natural sciences strategic training, resources, and the opportunity to explore and experience career options.  These workshops are held on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:30pm throughout the year. Bridging the Gap is a four-part financial wellness workshop designed for graduate students and includes training and resources on budgeting, long-term financial planning and investing, information on student loans and repayment, and building and maintaining personal credit.
